Radiation oncology at PVSEC is provided by PetCure Oncology, the national leaders in cancer care for pets. The on-site team consists of a Practice Director, a licensed radiation therapist, a certified veterinary technician, a board-certified hospitalist, and three board-certified medical oncologists. The local team works closely with PetCure Oncology's national network of board-certified radiation oncologists, led by renowned radiosurgery expert Dr. Neal Mauldin. Dr. Mauldin, PetCure's chief medical officer and a pioneer in the field of radiation therapy for pets, is triple-board certified in radiation oncology, medical oncology and internal medicine.
Every patient treated with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) at a PetCure Oncology center benefits from PetCure's network of radiation oncologists, the most experienced in the country. Every treatment is planned by one radiation oncologist and reviewed by another, a collaborative approach that emphasizes patient safety and quality assurance to ensure that each patient receives the best care possible.
